BSc in Accounting and Finance is designed to build essential knowledge and skills. The course also provides an opportunity for students to study a wide range of general business and accounting subject areas. In addition, completion of the degree provides students with eligibility for a number of professional exemptions enabling future continuation of their studies to become a fully qualified accountant.

Career options for a student who has completed the Accounting and Finance degree course provides a platform for a career in accounting and finance, it also serves as a basis for a career in general management, banking, financial services and consultancy (for which a solid grounding in accounting and finance is increasingly recognised as desirable). Graduates wishing to become professional accountants can ‘fast-track’ the completion of the relevant professional qualification. Those desiring to use accounting and finance training for wider management may want to pursue a Masters degree in Management thus attaining an MQF level 7 degree.

Students who successfully complete the BSc Accounting and Finance will be eligible for exemptions from the following professional bodies. Alternatively, students who are already in possession of these qualifications may be eligible for exemptions in the course.

Students’ knowledge will be assessed through various assessment methods.
All students will have access to EBSCO, the world’s largest online library, Moodle for class notes and Turnitin for the upload of assignments.
All of our Bachelor courses have a flexible entry process, and the Admissions Officer is happy to consider candidates from all backgrounds with slightly lower qualifications if they are able to demonstrate an alternative eligibility for the course. This may be in the form of relevant work experience, keen aptitude and a passion for the subject, or unlocked potential that you feel can be discovered through your studies at Global College Malta.
An O-level in English and Maths at Grade 5, or better (or equivalent) are desirable. International students whose English is not their first language will also need an IELTS score of 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each component).
