This course is equivalent to the first year of a Bachelor’s of Arts in Management degree course.  It is ideal for candidates who are seeking a qualification that will enhance their work experience in a business environment.

This qualification aims to improve the candidate’s leadership and management skills and knowledge. The course is full of real-life application situations to make the candidate better at his/her job. Effective leadership and management are absolutely essential in any industry since this is the crux of a potentially successful company.

Objectives

By the end of the course students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge on various aspects of management
  • Integrate these aspects of management in decision making within an organisation
  • Analyse and interpret management information

To be awarded the CIM, students are required to  achieve 60 ECTS and successfully complete all 4 modules (15 ECTS per module)

Important note:  The CIM course comprises of the 1st year of the BA in Management 3-year undergraduate course. Hence, students who successfully complete the CIM may opt to progress to the 2nd and 3rd year to obtain the MQF Level 6 BA undergraduate degree.

Assessment

Students’ knowledge will be assessed through various assessment methods.

Entry to the course

Applicants will normally be expected to hold school-leaving qualifications. However, applications are also welcome from those with non-standard entry qualifications and relevant work experience. Students are advised to forward their CV to GCM for us to evaluate the candidates’ eligibility for the course.
